A new car software update for Apple TV and Roku players has been causing issues with Apple’s new streaming service, according to a new blog post from the company.
The latest update for iRacing has “some serious issues” that are “apparently impacting iRacers on the Apple TV,” according to the blog post.
The issue, reported by the iRacer forums, involves a problem with a feature in the iCar software that allows for remote play of streamed content.
The problem with the new feature is that Apple TV owners can’t remotely control the car while watching streamed content, according the post.
Apple said that “some of our more experienced users have been having problems with remote play in this beta software update.”
The problem isn’t necessarily an issue with the streaming service itself, but rather with the way that the remote control is configured, the post says.
Apple has acknowledged the issue, but hasn’t addressed the issue with iRaces on the car yet.
Apple TV owners have had to update their drivers to fix the issue.
The company also noted that it will continue to update drivers to support streaming in the future.
